Exchanging Vows at Silvertip Resort in Canmore
The day began at Silvertip Resort, where Berlin and Alex shared an intimate vow exchange surrounded by panoramic mountain views. Silvertip Resort Gazebo offered a peaceful and elegant setting perfect for a private start to their elopement day.
With the "Three Sisters" standing tall behind them and the quiet stillness of the morning air, their vows felt deeply personal and grounding. It was a moment focused entirely on the two of them, setting the tone for a day rooted in meaning rather than tradition.
Exploring Canmore Through Familiar Paths
Following their vows, we continued into Canmore for a relaxed couple photo session through the places that are part of their everyday life. These weren’t just scenic location, they were paths Berlin and Alex regularly walk, spaces filled with memories and quiet moments shared long before their wedding day.

A Ceremony Performed by the Groom’s Mother
Below Ha Ling Peak, Berlin and Alex exchanged vows once again, this time in a deeply personal ceremony performed by Alex’s mother. Standing below their favourite mountain, with their immediate family and friends all arrived from Toronto, the moment felt powerful, emotional, and incredibly intimate.
Having a family member officiate added another layer of significance, turning their ceremony into a true reflection of love, connection, and family. It was raw, heartfelt, and unforgettable, proof that elopements can be just as meaningful (if not more) than traditional weddings.
