Taylor & Tobi’s Canmore Engagement Session
For their engagement photos Taylor wanted a location surrounded by mountains with that beautiful blue green water the Rockies are known for. Grassi Lakes was such a perfect choice. After a short hike together, we arrived at the lakes, where the turquoise water, dramatic rock faces and forest created the most beautiful backdrop for their photos. And on the way back down a waterfall.
What I loved most about this session was how relaxed and natural it felt. We explored the area around Grassi Lakes, stopped whenever the light and scenery caught my eye, and simply let Taylor and Tobi enjoy the experience together.
Engagement sessions don't have to feel overly posed or formal. They are a chance to slow down, have fun together and become comfortable in front of the camera before your wedding day. And I can't wait for this one next year!

We booked Maia to be our wedding photographer and part of the package was a set of engagement photos and let me tell you she absolutely blew us away. From the very start there was fantastic communication. For reference we live in Arizona and were in Alberta for 4 days this summer, Maia completely worked with our schedule and met us in Canmore. I told her I wanted photos with a blue green lake and I was presented with multiple options. We ultimately chose Grassi Lake which has about a 20 minute hike and Maia was trekking along with us (with all her camera equipment). She was so knowledgeable about the area and got our photos back within a week. Would highly recommend to anyone needing photos done in the Rockies or Calgary.
