Banff and Jasper National Park has always been one of the most magical places in the Canadian Rockies, and for Lyndsay and Nick, it was at the top of their travel list for years. But like for so many, Covid put travel plans on hold — until finally, they made their dream trip happen.
When Lyndsay and Nick told me they’d be staying at the beautiful Moraine Lake Lodge, I couldn’t wait to capture their story in one of the most breathtaking locations in Banff National Park. As a Banff photographer, getting to photograph couples surrounded by those turquoise-blue waters and dramatic peaks is always a dream come true — but what made this session so special was how instantly we connected.
From the moment we met, it felt like catching up with old friends. We laughed the entire session, shared stories, and discovered we had so much in common. Time honestly flew by!
After our photo session at Moraine Lake, Lyndsay and Nick headed to the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise for dinner and cocktails (definitely my kind of people!). We couldn’t resist taking a few more photos around Lake Louise — the golden evening light, not so calm waters, and mountain reflections made it absolutely perfect.
Being a destination wedding and couples photographer in Banff means I get to meet incredible people from all over the world — and moments like this remind me why I love what I do. It’s not just about the photos; it’s about the connections, the stories, and the laughter we share along the way.
