Born and raised in New York City, Felix and Sydney decided to visit Banff National Park during the most beautiful month of the year — September. The fall colors were just beginning to appear, the air was crisp and fresh, and with the summer crowds gone, Banff felt calm, peaceful, and wonderfully romantic.
It was the perfect time for a quiet walk around Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, Lake Minnewanka, and so many other incredible places that are often busy during the summer months. The turquoise lakes reflected the golden larches, creating a scene that felt almost too beautiful to be real.
But what Sydney didn’t know was that Felix had a secret plan — he was going to propose!
Capturing this moment was pure joy. There’s something timeless about autumn in the Canadian Rockies — the soft light, the rich colors, and that magical stillness in the air when someone says “yes.” Felix couldn’t have chosen a better season or a more perfect place to start their next chapter together.
Being part of their proposal was such an honour — and a beautiful reminder of how love and nature come together to create the most unforgettable stories.
