Let’s face it — she knew. Most of them do.
But he still did everything he could to keep it a secret.
We exchanged quite a few emails and phone calls, carefully planning every detail — from the perfect location to the best timing for his surprise proposal. And in the end, it couldn’t have been more romantic.
On the top of the rocks overlooking Lake Minnewanka in Banff National Park, he got down on one knee and asked the question that would change their lives forever. The mountains, the lake, and that quiet moment between them — it was absolute perfection.
This couple was such a joy to work with. Honestly, I can’t even call this “work.” I enjoyed every single second of it. They were relaxed, fun, and completely up for anything — whether it was climbing rocks, laughing in the wind, or simply soaking in the incredible scenery.
They travelled all the way from Texas to the Canadian Rockies for her to say “Yes!” — and soon, to my homeland Croatia to say “I do!”
Moments like these remind me why I love being a Banff proposal photographer. I could truly do this every minute of every day.
